Jibon Singh is an Indian football who plays for Shillong Lajong in the I-League He plays as a Lft Back or in midfield

Pailon Arrows   

Far the 2010-11 I-League season Singh paled for I-League newcomers Indian arrows. Indian Arrows is only made up of Indian Under -19 plaers On December 3, 2010 Singh took part in the Arrows, first I-League game ever against Chirag United, the final score was 2-1 in Chirag United's favour.

Singh stared off the 2011-12 football season in the 2011 Indian Federation Cup with re-named pailan Arrows He was selected as the captain of team for 2011-12 season in pailan first match against HAL S.C Singh scored the only goal of the game in the 89th minute from the penalty spot which left pailan the 1-0 winners.

Shilong Lajong F .C;

For the 2012-13 I-League season,Singh played for shilong Lajong F .C. He against dempo but shilong lost that match with 4-1 the final score

On February 23, 2011 Singh played his second game for the Indian U23 against Myanmar

Jeje Lalpekhuua is an Indian football who currenlty plays for Chennaiyin FC in the Indian Super League. 

He Scored the only goal in a win against Afghanistan in the SAFF Cup group stage match in Bangladesh He led the Indian U19 team to the South Asian games in sri Lanka In the last group stage match he scored a hat trick against Pakistan in a 5-1 win He also Scored four goals in his first three senior appearances for the Indian national football team He also played a crucial role in India's 2011 SAFF Cup Championships victory.

Born in the small village of Hnahthial in Mizoram, jeje was born in a football fanatic family His father and elder brother played for a local Mizoram Club - The model sporting club while his uncle represented mizoram in the santosh Trophy.jeje made his debut for model Sporting Club four months after his dad had retied from the club. 

Despite as initial hesitation from his parents in pursuing football professionally, jeje came to light after a spectacualr performance at the wai wai Cup held in mizoram On account of his strong performance jeje made it to the Mizoram U-19 team and never looked back Jeje impressed youth coach Colm Toal at the U-19 selection camp in Gwalior and got selected for U-19 qualifiers.

Baichung Bhutia born 15 December 1976 or Bhaichung Bhutia is an Indian footballer of Sikkimesse- Bhutia decent who plays as a Striker Bhutia is considerred to be the torchbearer of Indian football in the international arena. He is often nickhnamed the Sikkimesse Sniper because of his shooting Skills in football. three-time Indian player of the yeat I. M. Vijayan decribed Bhutia as "Gog's gift to Indian football ". Bhaichung Bhutia has as older brother named Chewang Bhutia. Chewang and Bhaichung both went to boarding School. Bhutia has opposite-Sex twins 

Bhutia has had four Spells at I-League football team East Bengal Club,the Club Where he Started his Career_When he joined English Club Bury in 1999, he became the first Indian footballer to sign a contract with a European Club and only the second to play professionally in Europe, after Mohammed Salim After wardshe had a short loan spell at the malaysian football club Perak FA As well as this he has played for JCT Mills which won the league once during his tenure and Mohun Bagan, Which failed to win the league once during his two spells, in his native India. his international footballing honours include winning the nehru Cup, LG Cup Championships three times and the AFC Challenge Cup. Off the Bhutia is known for winning the reality television programme jhalak Dokhhla jaa, Which caused much controversy withhis then-club Mohun
Bagan, and for being the first Indian athlete to boycott the Olympics torch relay in support of the tibetan independence movement. Bhutia who has a football stadium named after him in honour of his contribution to indian football(first player to have such honour while he is still playing), has also won many awards, such as the Arjuna Award and the Padma Shri.

In October 2010, he founded Bhaichung Bhutia Football School in Dahli in pertnership with football by Carlos Queiroz and Nike In August 2011 Bhutia announced his retirement from international football. His fereell match was with the India national team on 10 January 2012 against Bayern munich at the jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Dehli.
 He married a hotel professional in 2004 in his native village in south Sikkim. The couple filed for divorce by mutual consent in a Bandra Court in February 2015. 

I. M. Vijayan (Indian football Player):






Inivalappil Mani Vijayan born 25 April 1969 is a former professional Indian football player. playing in the Strikerposition he formed a  successful attacking partnership with Baichung Bhutia for the late nineties and early 2000s. Vijayan was crowned Indian player of the year in 1993, 1997 and 1999, the first player to win the award multiple times He was also awarded the Arjuna award in 2003. 

Vijayan started out as a seller of soda in the Trissur Munucipal Corporation Stadium Kerala earning 1- paise (0.02Cents) to play for the kerala Police Club and rose to become one of the top names in dimistic football.A highly aggressive player, he eventually became the highest carner in India club football as well as a regular in the India team He scored one of the fastest even international goals in a match against Bhutan in the 1999 SAF Games when he managed to do the same in 12 seconds. 
Faster international goals on record include ones by Davide Gualtieri in 8 seconds and Hakan Sukur in 11  seconds Vijayan's talents attracted interest from clubs in Malaysia and Thailand although he spent his entire Career in india until retirement By the end of his Career he had Scored40 international goals in 79 matches for India. Since retiring from international football Vijayan has set up a football academy to train young players in his home town.Since a short gap presently he is playing for Kerala Police.

International Career;

Shri I.M. Vijayan made his debut in international football in the year 1989 and played in a number of tournament such as nehru Cup, Pre- Olympics, pre-Olympics, pre-World Cup, SAAF Cup and SAF Games. Vijayan and Baichung Bhutan formed one of the Deadiest forward lines the India Football team had ever seen, and helped the team score various vital goals in international tournaments. Vijayan was part of the victoisous Indian team in the 1999 South  Asian Football Federation Cup and Scored one of the fastest international goals in history dring the tournament, hitting the net against Bhutan after only 12 seconds.He also finished top scorer in the Afro-Asian Games event held in India in 2003 with four goals. Vijayan formally retired from international football after the After-Asian Games of 2003.

Sunil Chhetri (Indian football Player):




Sunil Chhetri born 3 August 1984 is an Indian professional football who plays as a  striker for Mumbai City in the Indian Super League He is the Captain of the Indian national football team, and their highest  goalscorer of all time with 50 goals. 

Born in Jhapa, Nepal, Chhetri began his professional Career at Mohun Bagan in 2002. He then Moved to JCT Mills where he scored 21 goals in 48 games, the most he scored for any side in his Career He signed for the Kansas City Wizards of Major League Soccer in 2010, becoming the their player from the Subcontinent of note to go abroad. However that Stint in the United States did not last long and soon he was back in India's I-League where he played for Chirag United and Mohun Bagan brefore going back abroad This time he was signed by Sporting Clube de portugal of the Primeira Liga Where he played for the Primeir Liga Where he played for the club's reserve side.

It was with the national team that Chhetri gained fame and made a name for himself He helped India win the 2007 nehru Cup 2009 nehru Cup, the 2012 nehru Cup a well as the 2011 SAFF championship He was also one of India's best players during the 2008 AFC Challenge Cup in which India won the tournament and thus qualified for thier first  AFC Asian Cup in 27 years. He then led India in scoring during their short-lived champion at the 2011 AC Asian Cup with two goals.  

Chhetri has also been named AIFF player of the year four times in 2007, 2011,2013 and 2014. Chhetri was on the commentating panel for the FIFA World Cup for sony six channel.

Personal life;

Chhetri was born in Jhapa, Nepal, to parents of Nepali origin, both of whom wre also footballers, his father player for the Indian Army's team While his mother and her twin sister were members of the Nepal Women's national team Chhetri stared playing football from a young age taking part in various tournaments.

Uadayakumar was born in 1960,at the coastal hamlet of Mararikulam, known for the farmous Marari beach, in Appalachia district of the south Indian state of Kerala to Parambil Vettil Karanakarakurup and Ammani Amma> He stared playing Volleyball from an early age, beginning his career at kalavur Sixes, a small local club in the locality. Later he played for anotherlocal club, mac, where his talents were his talents were first noticed by the public. 

Karunakarakurup Udayakumar, Was an Indian men's national Volleyball team player known for his allround Skills at offence and defence and a member of the Indian Volleyball team during what many consider as the golden era of Indian Volleyball A former captain of the Indian national Volleyball team, Udayakumar was a member of the team, Which included jimmy George and Cyril C. Valloor,that won the Brenze medal in the 1986 Asian Games held in Seoul Uadayakumar played for the
Kerala Police Volleyball team the Govenment of India in 1991 honoured his services to Indian Volleyvall by Bestowing on him, the second highest Indian sports award the Arjuna Award.

A. Ramana Rao:



Arikapudi Ramana Roaborn 1july 1945 is a former Indian Volleyball player. He was born in Chamallamudi Village, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh He is a recipient of both the Arjuna Award for the yaer 1977-1978 and Dronacharya Award for the year 1990-1991. 

Ramana Rao stared playing Volleyball after joining college He graduated from Hindu College, Guntur in 1966 From the year 1966 to 1976 he participated in the National Volleyball Championships and Captained the Tamil Nadu state team consecutively for four years He playerd for the Tamil Nadu state team which won the National Volleyball championship title for the time at Tiruchirapalli in 1976.

He was the head coach for the Indian men's volleyball team at the Asian Volleyball Championship at Perth in 1991. He was also the first Indian Volleyball coach to qualify as FIVB Instrucot in the German Democratic Republic in 1986 and went on to conduct the international Coaches Courses in India and abroad He was nominated as a Member AVC Coaches Committee of the Asian Volleyball Confideration (AVC) from !993-1997. 

Ramana Rao is nominated as the Director of the Fivb Regional Development Centre, Chennai, India. Currently he is the President of Andhra Pradesh Volleyball   Association. He is the Chamirman, Coaching Committee, Volleyball Federation of India.

Naveen Raja Jacob(Volleyball Player):

Manidurai Naveen Raja Jacob born 10 january 1989 known as Naveen is an integral part of current India men's national Volleyball team 

Early life;

Manidurai naveen Raja jacob was born on january 10, 1989 at Sundankottai village Thoothukudi district, Tamil Nadu Having noticed by his brother with a talent for Volleyball, he stared playing from 2003. On 2007, he got national attention when his Vijayawarda team won national.
Championship Because of his national level recognition, he was rewarded with a job in India overseas bank in 2007.

Naveen jacob is integral part of India men's national Volleyball  team He Wears number 18 jersey and plays in the position of  Opposite/ setter manidurai Naveen Raja jacob has also captained Tamilnadu Volleyball Team. 

Nripjit Singh Bedi (Volleyball Player):

Nripjit Singh Bedi born 1 june 1940 is a volleyball player who was a member of the Indian national team and competed in the silver medal winning effort at the 4th Asian Games Bedi received the Aejuna Award from the Government of India in 1962 The Indian Athlete's Volleyball Career lasted for 23 years He served as a Commandant with the Border Security Force (BSF) of Pinjab before his 1995 retirement. 

Early life;

Bedi was born in Dhariwai in the Gurdaspur district of punjab India. He was the youngest of 6 siblings He stared playing at an early age of 9 when watch the older player and picked up on the name to be conterded for and the opponents would get Scared by the mere mention of his name.

Highlights;

Bedi competed at the 4th Asian Games in jakarta (1962) when the Indian national volleyball squad was a silver medalist and at the Asian Games in Bangkok (1966). The following year,The India team won a bronze medal in Delhi (1963) prior to the Tokya Olympics held in the latter half of 1964 

Bedi received the Arjuna Award in 1962 and was the first award from Punjab state He was also the first ever member of the Punjab Police and BSF to be a recipient for Achievments in volleyball Over a decade later Bedi was declared "Sportsman of the year" by the Punjab government in 1974. 

More recently Bediwas the recipient of the president's Police medal for meritorious Service in 1992 and with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Pinjab Police, the latter given by the Chief minister of Punjab in 2007.  

Balwant Singh Sagwal (Volleyball Player):

Between 1968 and 1981, Punjab Won National Championships 10 times largely due to the performance of Sagwal . Sagwal participated in the All India Police Games from 1966 to 1990 representing Punjab Police and BSF.

Shermi Ulahannan (Indian kabaddi player):

Shermi Ulahannan is representative for India
 in the sport of Kabaddi she was a member of the

Shirash Pal Singh (Indian Kabaddi Player):

Squadron Leader Shirash Pal Singh was the coach of the Indian National Kabaddi team HE was born in the village of Bandpur throughout high school colege and At national level.

Career;

He joined the indian Air Force Where he excelled as an officer cadet, receiving the president's plaque for achievement whilst at the Air Force Academy. He obtained a diploma in coaching kabaddi & kho kho from the National Institute of Sports and became the coach of the Services national team, later moving on to become coach of the Indian national kabaddi team.

Under his coching the Indian national team won a gold medal in the 1995 SAF Games and another in the 13th Asian Games in Bangkok in 1998. 

He was presented with an award for this Success by the prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the Vigyan Bhavan. He retied from coching the Indian Kabaddi team just before the 1999 SAF games in Kathmandu 

Shirash Pal Singh sought to bring kabaddi up to the same level of professionalism as other international sports, Compaigning for use of artificial surfaces and modern equipment.

Balwinder singh also known as fidda of fiddu, is an Indian professional Kabaddi player who received Arjuna Award in 1999 for his performances.He was born in Labana Family, on 23rd mar, 1956 to Charan Kaur and Saradar Banta Singh in village Tanda, District Kapurthala In 1989, He was the captain India Kabaddi team in south Asian federation Games in Islamabad in 1989 where their team secure first position He was declared the best player of Kabaddi in 1999 and honoured with Arjuna Award on 29 Augest 2000.

Ajay Thakur born 1 may 1986 is a professional Indian international kabaddi player 

Thakur was born in Dabhota, a village in the municipality of Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh He was a key player in the Indian Kabaddi team that won the gold medal at the Invheon Asian Games in 2014 Thakur has over 14 year of professional experience.

Rakesh Kumar born 15 April 1982 is an Indian professional kabaddi player

 in recognition of this achievements in the sport he was awarded the Arjuna Award by
 the Government India.

Narendra Achyut Dabhalkar born 1 November  1945 20 August 2013
 was an Indian rationalist and author from Maharastra He was the founde
r president of Maharastra Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti (MANS), 
an organisation set up to eradicate Superstition in 1989. Triggered by his
 murder on 20 /august 2013 the  pending Anti Superstition and Black Magic

 Punjab His life ended short when killed in a motor vehicle accident.

Prakash Amritraj born October 2,  1983 in Los Angeles is an Indian professional tennis player and the son of renowned former indian tennis player Vijay Amritraj.

Rohan Bopanna as born on 4 march 1980 is an Indian professional tennis player
 His singles career high ranking was world No.213 in 2007 and his career
 high ranking in doubles was world no.3 on 22 july 2013 Recently, 
most of his apperances in professional tournaments have been in doubles
 matches he is a member of the Indian Davis Cup team since 2002 in 2010
 he finished as a runner up in doubles at the US Open, partnering with
 Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi. 

He is currently ranked 17th in the world in the doubles ranking Bopanna 
 started playing tennis at age 11 He reached his career high doubles rankings
 on 22 July 2013 when he was ranked world No.3 in the ATP Ranking.
 He reached his career high singles rankings of world No. 213 on 23 July 2007.
 Bopanna partnered with Qureshi in doubles in 2007 the duo, nicknamed
 the indopak Express, went on to win four Challenger titles in quick Succession.
 However, it was only in the 2010 season that the pair broke into the top 10 doubles teams
 they year they reaches the quarter-finals at Wimbledon,  finished runners-up in the UP Open
 and in five ATP Tour events, and won the johannesburg Open Bopanna also played 
a decisive role in India's 2010 Davis Cup triumph over Brazil, talking India back to 
the World Group for the first time since 1998.

He sidtinguished himself as a doubles player at the 2007 Hopman Cup. Bopanna's
 first ATP doubles title came in the 2008 Countrywide Classic in Los Angeles with 
Eric Butorac.

Ramanathan Krishnan:

Ramanathan Krishnan born 11 April 1937, Boothapandi Village,
Nagercoil, India is a retired tennis player from India who was
among the world's leading players in the 1950s and 1960s
He was twice a semifinalish at Wimbledon in 1960 and 1961,
reaching as high as World No. 6 in Lance Tingay's amateur ranking.

Career; 

Krishnan honed his skills under his father,
T,K. Ramanathan a veteran Nagercoil.
based player. He soon made his mark on
the national circuit sweeping all the junior titles. 

Awards;

Krishnan received the Arjuna award in 1961,
the Padma Shri in 1962 and the Padma Bhushan
in 1967.

Somdev Devvarman:


Somdev Kishore Devvarman born 13 February 1985 is a professional Indian tennis player He hit the headlines for being the only collgiate player to have made three consecutive finals at the NCAA, Winning back-to-back finals in his junior and senior years at the University of Virgina Only three other players have matched that record since 1950 His 44-1 win-loss record in 2008 at the NCAA Mens Tennis Championship is unprecedented. 

His best achievement so far on the ATP World Tour has been raeching the final of the Chennai Open in 2009, as  a wild card entry. In 2010, Somdev won the Golg medal in the mens Singles event of XIXth Commonwealth Games at the R.K. Khanna Tennis Stadium in New Delhi, and he followed it up with both men's singles and doubles gold in the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China. He is coached by Scott Mc Chin.

In 2011, Devvarman received ther Arjuna Award from the Indian government for his tennis Successes.

Vijay Amritraj Life History:



Vijay Amritraj born a14 December 1953 is a former tennis player from India sports commentator and actor. He was awarded the Padma Shri , India's fourts highest civilian honor in 1983

Amritraj lives in California with wife shyamala who is sri Lankan Tamil, and sons Prakash Amritraj and Vikram His son Prakash Amritraj and newphew Stephen Amritraj are also professional tennis players. On 9 February 2001 Vijay Amritraj was appointed a united Nations ambassador for peace He has been raising awareness on the issues of drugs and HIV/AIDS and in raising funds to fight the spread of AIDS worldwide. Vijay amritraj founded the vijay Amritraj Foundation in 2006.

Acting Career;

Amritraj also had a brief acting career. His most notable appearance is probably as the MI6 agent Vijay in the 1983 James bond film octopussy. After playinghis first grand prix event in 1970, Amritraj achieved his first success in singles in 1973 when he reaches the quarter-finals at two Grand Slam events At Wimbledon he lost in five sets to the eventual champion jan Kodes and later that summer at the US Open, lost to ken Rose wall after having beaten Rod Laver two round earlier. 

Amritraj beat Bjorn Borg in the second round in Forest Hills Open 1974 before losing to Rosewall in quarter-finals in 1979, he lost in the 2nd round of Wimbledon to defending champion borg after being up two sets to one and singles of world 4-1 in the fourth  set He reached his career high ranking in singles of world 16 in July 1980 In 1981, he reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon before losing in five sets to Jimmy Connors after being Up 2-0 He beat john mcEnroe in the first round of Cincinnati Masters in 1984 Overall he had five career wins over jimmy Connors in their 11 matches.

Amritraj was part of the India Davis Cup team that reached the finals in 1974 and 1987 Amritraj had a career singles win-loss record 384-296, Winning 16 singles and 13 doubles titles.

Mahesh Bhupathi Life History:


Mahesh Shrinivas Bhupathi as born 7 june 1974 is an Indian
 professional tennis player. In 1997, he became the first India 
to win a Grand Slam tournament with Rika Hiraki. with his win

Leander Paes Life History:


Leander Adrain paes (born 17 June 1973) is an India professional tennis player who is considered to be one of the best doubles and mixed doubles players in the world.

He has won eight doubles and nine mixed doubles Grand Slam titles, and is the oldest man to have won a Grand Slam title. He holds a career Grand Slam in men's doubles achieved the rare men's doubles/mixed doubles double at the 1999 Wimbledon tournament. His mixed doubles Wimbledon title in 2010 made him the second man (after Rod Laver ) to win Wimblesdon titles in three decades.

One of the most Successful professional Indian tennis players, he has received the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award India's highest sporting honour, in 1996-97; the Arjuna Award in 1990: the Padma Shri award in 2001 and its 3rd Highest Civilian Award the Padma Bhushan in January 2014 for his outstanding contribution to tennis in india.

He won a bronze medal for India in singles in the 1996 Atlantic Olympic Games.He comperted in consecutive Olympic appearances from 1992 to 2012. making him the first Indian and only tennis player to compete at six Olympic Games.

He is famous for his several memorable Davis Cup performances and is a former team captain.

He also plays in world team Tennis for the Washington Kastles, being on the 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, championship teams and was named made MVP for 2009 and 2011 for all of World Team Tennis. He is the Sports ambassador of the India state of Haryana. 

Sania Mirza Personal Life:


In 2009, Sania mirza became engaged to childhood friend Sohrab mirza a millionaire businessman However the wedding was called off shortly after she started dating Pakistani On 12 April 2010, she married shoaib malik in a  traditional Muslim wedding ceremony at the Taj Krishna Hotel in Hyderabad, India followed by Pakistani wedding customs for a mahr of 6.1 million 
(US$137,500). Their walima ceremony was held in Lahore, Pakistan. 

The online attention the wedding received made mirza the most searched women tennis player and Indian Sports person in 2010,  according to Google Trends the Wedding was even more controversial because malik was accused by another girl of already being married to her and hence he could not marry mirza without first divorcing her. Sania Mirza Tennis Career:

2015: Number 1 WTA Doubles Ranking, Wimbledon Doubles Champion and Open Doubles Champion;

Mirza begen her 2015 season ranked No. 6 in the doubles ranking. She  started a new partnership with then world No. 5 Hsieh Su-Wei from Chinese Taipei after Cara black decided to go for a limited 2015 season. The pair started their season. at the 2015 Brisbane international as the top seeds and reached the semi-finals losing out to 4th seeds Caroline Garcia and Katarina Srebotnik in the Super tie-breaker after having won the first set against the opponents but eventually going down 6-4, 6-7(1), [8-10].

Mirza paired up with former partner and good friend American Bethanie Mattek-sands for the Apia international and went on to win they tournament for her 23rd career title (5th with mattek-Sands) beating the highly fancied 2nd seeds Martina Hingis and Flavia pennetta in the Quarters and top seeds Roquel Kops jones and Anbigail Spears 6-3, 6-3 in the finals, but lost in the second round at Melbourne she also re-entered the Top 5 in the ranking. Sania also reached the finals of Qatar Ladies
Open 2015 at Doha alongside Hsieh. The pair lost to Americans Raquel Kops-jones and abigail Spers 4-6, 4-6. 

Mirza then ended her partnership with Hsieh Su-Wei and paired up with Swiss legend Martina Hingis. The pair entered India wells as the top seeds and went on to win the titles in their debut they beat opponents including former world number ones Lisa Raymond and Samantha Stosur 6-0, 6-4. Hingis and Mirza didn't lose more than four games in any set After cruising through the forts set of the final, they fell behind4-2 second set but won the next 4 games to beat second seeds Ekaterina Makarova and miami marters event, against beating the same opponents. Mirza jumped two places on the Ranking table to be ranked at her career best No. 3 in the Doubles Rankings. 

The duo then entered the 2015 miami Open and went to beat the same opponents in the finals marking it their second title in as many tournaments. the pair did not lose a single set the toyrnament either marking the sets score 20-0 for their newly formed partnership. Before reaching  the finals at miami the pair beat Elena Bogdan and Nicole Melichar 6-1 6-0, Gabriela Dabrowski and Alicja rosolska 7-6 (6), 6-4, Times Babos and Kristina Mladenovic 6-3, 6-4. The finally overcame vesnina and makarova in the finals 7-5, 6-1. 

Mirza and Hingis won 2015 Family Circle Cup's double title in April 2015 defeating Casey Dellacqua and Darija jurak 6-0, 6-4 and with the title win mirza became the first Indian to be ranked World No. 1 in WTA's doubles ranking. it was Sania and Hingis third Successive title win and they have not lost as a single match since joining forces "It's a dream for every kid to be No.1 one day."Sania said after her win And on reaching No.1 in Charleston? she added "No. tournament has been as special to me as the Family Circle Cup and no tournament will ever be as special to me, because i become No.1 hare, they were routed in the first round at the porsche Tennis Grand prix They reached the finals of Italian Open but lost to the  team of Times Babos And Kristin Mladenovic They lost in the Quarter finals of 2015 Frech Open To Bethanie mattek-sands and Lucie Safarova by 7-5, 6-2 where the duo were the top seeds. Mirza was also given the top seeding with her partner Bruno Soares in the mixed Doubles event. In Spite of this, the pair lost 2-6, 2-6 in just 56 minutes against the unseeded Anna Lena Groenefeld and jean- jullien Rojer in the first round 

For the grass court season Mirza was seeded number 1 in the Birmingham premiere level event and partnered with Sasey Dellacqua However, the team crashed out of the WTA Aegon Classic following a straight set defeat in Birmingham on 18 June 2015. they lost 4-6, 2-6 to unseeded pair of Zheng jie and Yung-jan Chan in the opening round. Sania Mirza and her doubles partner Martina Hingis were beaten in the semi-finals at the WTA Aegon international doubles in Eastbourne the top seed lost to the fourth seeded French-Slovak combine of Caroline Garcia and Katarina Srebotnik 5-7 in 81 minutes.

Mirza and hingis won the 2015 Windblown Championships defeating Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina 5-7, 7-6(7-4), 7-5 in the final after splitting two very close sets against two- time Grand Slam champion Makarova and vesnina, Hingis and Mirza who were playing just their second Grand Slam together-fell behind 5-2 in the their set were a game away from going out. but a fierce rally saw them drew level at 5-all, and after a half hour break for Centre court roof to be closed due to fading light, the No 1seeded Swiss- India duo came out stonger, breaking the No. 2 seeded Russians one last time and win gave Mirza her first Grand Slam title in Women's Doubles and Hingis her tentth.

En route to the final the pair not lose a single set against any of their opponents. in the opening two roundd the duo beat unseeded opponents, Zarina Diyas and Saisai Zheng 6-2, 6-2 and vestran Japanese-Italian combine of kimiko Date-Krumm and Francesca
Schinavone 6-0, 6-1 16th seeded Spaniard dua of Anabel Medina Garrigues and Arantxa parra Santonja beating them 6-4, 6-3 in the their round, 9th seeds Casey Delloacqua and Yaroslava Shvedova 7-5, 6-2 in the semi finals before finally overcoming Vesnina and Makorova in the marathon finals with the win Mirza and Hingis also regain the top spot in 2015 Road to  Singapore Standing trading Spots with Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarova and became the first team to qualify for WTA finals.

Sania Mirza Tennis Career:

2013-2014: Top 5 doubles breakthrough;

Mirza kicked off her 2013 season with a title Brisbane alongside Bethanie Mattek-Sands in the tournament itself. the pair then unexpectedly lost in the quarter-finals of the first round of Australia Open Sania though reached the quarter-finals of the 2013 Australian Open mixed double partnering Bob Bryan. Mattek-sands and mirza then won the doubles title at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.in February. They had to retire in their round of 16 match at the French Open after having won the first set 7-6 and down 305 in the second against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Lucie Safarova They also lost in R16 at the Championships Sania then formed a brief successful partnership with Zheng jie from china winning a title at New Haven and reaching the semis at US Open losing losing out to Australia Casey Dellacqua and Ashleigh Barty 2-6, 2-6 Sania then partnered Cara Black for the rest of the season and the pair won their won first title in their first outing at Tokyo They won their second title in a row as they lifted the China Open trophy defeating top seeds and World No 1's Sara Errani Roberta Vinci 6-4, 6-4 en route. Sania partnered different players during 2013 and won 5 WTA Titles. 

Mirza be gen 2014 playing with Cara Black in the the 2014 Apia international Sydney Where they lost in the first round to Ajla Tomljanovic and jarmila Gajgodsova 6-3, 6-2. Her next tournament was the 2014 Australia Open seeded 6th. Mirza and Black reached the quarter-finals at the 2014 Australian Open -Women's Doubles before losing to top seed and eventual champions Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci She was more successful Horia Tecau of Romania Tecau and Mirza lost to Kristina Mladenovic and denial Nestor in the final.

Mirza and Black next competed in the 2014 Qatar Total Open and lost to the pairing of Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Nadia Petrova in the quarter-finals. the pair lost in the first round of the 2014 Dubai Tennis Championships. to Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Safarova They reached their first WTA Tour doubles final of the year at the 2014 BNP paribas Open but lost to Hsieh Su-Wie and peng Shuai. Mirza and Black reached the semifinals of the 2014 Sony Open Tennis in miami before losing to wildcards martina Hingis and Sabine Lisicki They finished runners-up to Errani and Vinci once again in the 2014 porsche Tennis Grand Prix They won their first title of the year at the 2014 portugal Open, defeating Eva Hrdinova and Vareria Solovyeva in the final, 6-4, 6-3. 


Mirza and Black recorded three consecutive quarterfinal finished in the subsequent clay tournament, namely the 2014 Mutua Madrid Open, the 2014 international BNL d'Italia, and the 2014 French Open in the mixed doubles evnet at the 2014 French Open, Mirza and Horia Tecau lost in the second round to Timea Babos and Eric Butorac. Mirza begen grass season playing in the 2014 Aegon Classic She and Black lost to Raquel Kops-jones and Abigail Spears in the semifinals. At the 2014 Aegon international, they reached the quarter-finals. before losing to Chan Hao-Ching and Chan Yung-jan. the pair next competed at the 2014 Wimbledon Championships and lost in the second round to the unseeded pairing of Anastasia Pavyuchenkova and Lucie Safarova.

Mirza and Black next competed in the 2014 US Open and lost to the pairing of Martina Hingis and Flavia pennetta in the semifinals. Mirza played the mixed doubles in the 2014 US Open pairing with Bruno Soares and went on to become the 2014 US Open mixed Doubles Champions, thereby winning the third Mixed Doubles grand slam in her career.


Sania Mirza won a gold and bronze at the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea She paired   with Saketh Myneni to beat China's Hsien Yin peng and also won a bronze medel in Women's doubles tournament, where she paired with prarthana Thombare. 


Black and Mirza won their biggest title together at the WTA finals defeating Su-Wei and peng shuai 6-1, 6-0 in the final It was the heaviest defeat ever witnessed in the end-of-season competition's doubles final which dates back 41 years to 1973, the year the WTA was founded encounters against Kveta Peschke Katerina Srebotnik and Raquel-jones Abigail Spears coming through 4-6, 7-5, 11-9 and 6-3, 2-6, 12-10 respectively This final would be the duo's final match as a team.

"It was great-we  saved the best for the last. I think today was our best match One of our best matches at least, and one of our best matches we played against them."Mirza told reporters after the win."To end this way, we great friend "But I've also found a great friend in her Almost like an older sister to me. I'm the oldest in my family, si I learned a lot from her on and off the court."

Sania Mirza participated in the international premier Tennis League staring on 28 November 2014, playing with the micromax india Aces alongside tennis legend Roger federer countryman Rohan Bopanna top Serbian Ana lvanovic and Frenchman Gael Monfils. She played all the mixed Doubles matches alonside Bopanna and partnered Federer who visited the country for his first match there in the New Dehli leg, much to her personal and played a key role for the India Aces to win the inaugual edition of the IPTL 2014.

Sania Mirza /tennis Career:

2011-2012: Doubles specialisation;


Ranked at no 141, Mirza kiked-off her year with the ABS Classic in Auckland. she needed one more win to qualify for the tournament, sabine Lisicki. In doubles, she partnered Ranata Voracova of Czech Republic and reached the semifinals, and but lost to Katarina Srebotnik and Kvrta peschke. Going into the 2011 Australian Open, Mirza lost in the first round against Belgium's former World No 1 justine Henin in a tight three- setter, having won the first set 5-7 she went down 6-3, 6-1 in the next two she continued her partnership with Voracova for doubles but lost in the first round as well 

She received wildcards to play in the Dubai Tennis  Championships and the Qatar ladies Open she made the second round of both events, falling to Ayumi Morita and jelena jankovic, respectively. she also was the premier mandatory events in march, Mirza made the second round in both. in dobles she won her first premier mandatory title at India Wells, with Vesnina, defeating Bethanine Mattek-sands and meghann shaughnessy.

Mirza particpated at the premier- level Family Circle Cup in Charleston. in singles, she made her first premier quarterfinal since san Diego in August 2007. in doubles, Mirza won the title with Vesnina: the indo-Russaian duo beat Mattek-Sands and  Shaughnessy in the final for the second time this season. Mirza won her 11th WTA Tour Doubles Title and second of the year. 

Next she also competed at the 2011 Mutua Madrid Open, losing in the first round against doubles partnere Elena Vesnina in doubles, with Vesnina she  manages to go up to the third round Mirza took part in the 2011 Sparta Prague Open, but had to retire in her first round match aganist Aleksandra Krunic due to a back injury Next she played at the 2011 internationaux de Strasbourg, but suffered a first round lost Alize Cornet.

Mirza breezed through the first round of the french Open where she beat Kristina Baarrois in Straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. then in Round 2 , she lost to 12th seed Agnieszka Radwanska, 2-6, 4-6. In doubles, Mirza had what was probably the greatest highlight of her career- reaching the finals of a Grand Slam and she ended up runner-up with Vesnina losing out to Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka.

 During the grass- court season Sania lost in the first round of the singles and doubles competition at the 2011 Aegon International. playing at the All England Lwan Tennis Club she came up with her personal best performance by reaching her first semifinals at the Championships alongside Vesnina losing out to Kvete Peschke katarina Santonja 3-6, 1-6. En route they beat 13th seeds Daniela Hantuchova and Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4, 6-3. in the round of 16 and the Spanish duo of Nuria Llagostera Vives and Arantxa parra Santonja 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 in the Virginie Razzano in a close three-setter 7-6(4), 2-6, 6-3. 

She then could not cross the first round hurdles in her next five attempts in singles including the US Open where she lost yet another tight three setter  6-7,(5), 6-3, 6-1  to Israel's 23rd seed Shahar peer On two occasions Sania Scored2 wins in qualifying round defeated.

Heidi El Tabakh 6-0, 4-6, 6-0  at Rogers Cup and Vania King 7-6(4),  2-6, 7-6(5) at Cincinnati she however continued her good run in doubles competiton as she won the title at D.C partnering Yaroslava Shevdova defeating the 2nd seeded Olga Govortsova and alla Kudryavtseva pair of 6-2, 6-3, in the finals.

 At the Flushing Meadow Sania and Vesnina lost in the pre- quarters to the Czech duo of Iveta Melter and Barbara Zahlavova Strycova 7-6(4), 7-6(5) having beaten samantha Crawford and Madison Keys, Vitalia Diatchenko and Olga Savchuk in strigh sets in their previous encounters After playing on the singles circuit regularly throughout the year Sania also reentered the top 60 in singles ranking in 2011.

Mirza kicked-off her 2012 season ranked 104th at the ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand. She lost a tough 6-1, 5-7, 3-6 first qualifying match against Coco Vandeqwghe As for doubles, she partnered Elena Vesnina and made it to the semifinals, losing to julia Gorges and Flavia pennetta. Her next tournamenst was in Sygney where she played doubles only alongside italian Roberta Vinci, but lost in round one.

Going in to the australian Oepn, Mirza was overpowered by  tsvetana pironkova 4-6, 2-6, in the first round. In doubles Mirza reached her third Grand Slam semifinal, partnering Vesnina, where they fell to Svetlana Kuznetsova and Vera Zvonareva, For the mixed doubles even, Mirza played alongside compatriot Mahesh Bhupathi and reached her 4th Grand  Slam semifinal.

Mirza then represented India at the Fed Cup in Shenzhen, china where they were facing Hong Kong In singles, she defeated Zhang Ling 5-7, 6-0, 6-1. partnering with Isha Lakhani, the pair beat chan Wing-yau and Zhang 6-7(7), 6-1, 7-5. With this perfomance India advanced to the Fed cup Asia/Oceania Zone Group l for 2013. Mirza then played at the PTT Pattaya Open where she won her first WTA main draw match since the 2011 French Open - coming from a set down to upset Ayumi Morita  ranked 47 spots higher , 3-6, 6-1, 6-2, in second round she beat anne Keothavong 6-4, 7-5  to enter in quarter- final, Where she lost to Su-Wei Hsieh in doubles with Australia Anastasia  Rodionova she won her 13th WTA title: they defeated the Taiwanese sister Hao- ching Chan and Yung-jan Chan3-6, 6-1, 10-8.   

Mirza then went to Doha to play at the Qatar Open Where she had withdraw from the singles qualifying event, due to playing pattaya doubles final. she lost in the second round of doubles with Vesnina Then, she Dubai, she was beaten by Aleksandra Wozniak in the first qualifying round. In doubles, Mirza and Vesnina are were runners-up aginst No.1 seeds Liezel Huber and Lisa Daniilidou in Round 1 of the BMW Malaysian Open.

Playing doubles at the premier-line up of India Wells, Miami and Charleston , Mirza reached the final, lost in round one and made the quarters, respectively, she also reached round two of singles in india Wells, She then  would begin season at the 2012 Estoril Open, Where she was the semifinallist in doubles with  Anastasia Rodiaonova. she lost in round 2 of doubles in Madrid and also in rome. Mirza returned on the singles circuit in May at the 2012 Brussels Open Where  she won three goos matches- including her first 'double bagel' - in the  qualifying competition, where  she beat Lesia Tsurenko by 6-0, 6-0, who was ranked 87 sports highter than her She also won the doubles of the same evnet with Bethanie Mattek-Sands.

She then perticipated in the French Open in the Women's doubles with Mattek Sands and the Frech Open mixed  doubles with Bhupathi In the doubles she suffered a first round shock defeat but found great Success in the French Open mixed doubles where she and Bhupathi won the Crown by defeating Santiago Gonzalez of mexico and kladia jans-lgnacik of poland 7-6,(7/3), 6-1 in the final on 7 jane 2012. 

Sania and her partner Yaroslava Shvedova crashed out of the 2012 Aegon Classic with a straight-set defeat against lveta Benasova and Alla Kudryvtseva. Mirza then would go on to fallin in the qualifying singles and first round doubles at the 2012 Aegon international.

Sania and her American partner mettek-Sands advanced to the third round of the Women's doubles competition at the 2012 Wimbledon championships, where they fell to the Williams sister. On 26 june 2012,Sania Mirza was awarded a wild card entry hence confirming her participation in women's doubles event of the Londom Olympics. On 17 july 2012, Sania and her partner Bethanie Mettek- sands were ousted in the first round of WTA premier event in USA.

Mirza partnering Rushmi Chakravarthy in the Women's doubles competition at Olympics, bowed out losing to Chinese Taipei in a   tight match she also lost in quarterfinals of mixed doubles with leander paes to Belarus in a tough encounter At the premier Mandatory evnet Montreal and Cincinati partnering Mettek-Sands , Mirza reached the quarterfinals and lost in round one of doubles, respectively.

 In October 2012 the prize purse for female winners of the "Fenesta open National Tennis Chanpionship" was increased to be equal to that of male winners at Mirza,s suggestion to All India Tennis Association president Anil Khanna. Khanna also announced have the same prize money for both categroies  women and men .

2010: Struggles and injury;


Mirza began her year at the ASB Classic in Auckland. she won her first round match against Stefanie Vogele, but was crushed by 4th seed Francesca Schivone in the second round.Mirza the suffered two first-round losses at the Moorilla Hobart international and the 2010 Australia n Open. In February, Mirza  competed in the 2010 PTT pattaya Open as the 6th seed, but was upset by Tatjana Malek 6-3, 4-6, 3-6. she then played in the Dubai Tennis Championships but .suffered a first round defeat to Anabel Medina Garrigues, Mirza was forced to withdraw from the Sony Ericcson Open, the BNP paribas Open and the family Circle Cup due to a right Wrist injury this injury also coused her to pull out of the 2010 French Open.

she returned at the 2010 Aegon Classic, where she lost in the second round to Tamarine Tanasugarn in three sets. Mirza then fell in the qualifying at Eastbourne and also lost in the first round of Wimbledon; she did manage to finish runner-up at the Aegon GB pro-series Wrexham. her bad form continued, as she lost in the second round of the Odlum Brown Vanconver Open and qualifying rounds of both the Cincinnati Masters and the Rogers Cup. Mirza won her first round match against Michelle Larcher de Brito at the 2010 US Open, but she went down against 20th seeded Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the second round.

In September, Mirza competed in the 2010 Guanghou international Women's Open where she made her first quarter-final of the season. she then lost in the first round of the Tashkent Open, the qualifying draw of the BGL Luxembourg Open, and the first round of the OEC Taipei Ladies Open. in doubles, Mirza won in Guanzhou with Edina Gallovits and finished as a runner-up in Taipei with Se-Wei Hsieh . in October, she represented India at the 2010 Commonwealth Games as the 2nd seed she defeated Brittany Teei Cook Islands, Marina Erakovic New Zealand, and Olivia Rogowska Australia before losing to australia Anastasia Rodionova and sally peers,Mirza and Nirupama Sanjeev to win the bronze medal. 

 In November, she represented india at the 2010 Asian Games the unseeded india defeated Chan Wing-yau in first round. Next she defeated 6th seed Zhang Shuai in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. to enter into quarter-final in quarter-final Mirza won against 2nd seed Tamarine Tanasugarn 6-2, 6-3. to move in semi final, where she was sefeated by 3rd seed Akgul Amanmuradova 7-6(7), 3-6, 4-6 and won Bronze Medal in singles in mixed Doubles she partnered with India's Vishnu Vardhan losing in the finals to Chan Yung-jan and Yang Tsung-hua and won silver medal. in December, she went to Dubai to compete at the Al Habtoor Tennis challenge. coming unseeded, she won the tournament, defesting 6th seed Ksenia en route, and 2nd seed Bojana jovanoski in the final.

2008-2009: Grand Slam Mixed Doubles Championship;


Mirza reached the Qatar finals at Hobart as no 6 seed. she lost to Flavia pennetta in three sets. she reached the third round at the 2008 Australia Open as No.31 seed, where she lost to No.8 seed Venus Willams 7-6 (0) 6-4, having led 5-3 in the first set. she was runner-up in the Australian Open mixed doubles partnering Mahesh Bhupathi where they lost 7-6(4), 6-4 to Sun Tiantian and Nenad Zimonjic.

She had to withdraw from the PTT pattaya Open because of a left abductor strain. She reached round four at Indian wells as the No.21 seed Daniela Hantuchova. On Grass Mirza was crushed in the second round of Birmingham by Marina Erakovic at 2008 Wimbledon Championships, as the No.32 seed, Mirza was defeated by qualifier Maria jose Martinez Sanchez, 6-0, 4-6, 9-7 in round two having had several match points.

Mirza represented India at the 2008 summer olympics in Beijing. she was eliminated from singles when she retied in her match aginst Iveta Benesova because of a right wrist with Sunitha Rao, but  lost in the second round to Russia Throughout 2008, Mirza was played by a slew of wrist injuries, requiring her to withdraw from several matches including those of the 2008 French Open and 2008 US Open Grand slams.

Mirza stared her year by playing at the doubles event of the moorilla hobart international. partnering Francesca, they reached the quarter-finals. At 2009 Australia Open she won her first round match against Marta   Domachowska, but she fell aginst 10th seed Nadia petrova in round two in  doubles Mirza picked up her first Grand slam title at the 2009 Australia Open partnering with mahesh Bhupathi, they beat Nathalie Dechy & andy Ram 6-3, 6-1, in the final.

She then entered the pattaya Women's Open Tournament in Bangkok where she reached the finals after a string of good performances. she lost the finals to Vera Zvonareva 7-5, 6-1, she made the semis in doubles in  the same tournaments. Mirza then Competed in the BNP Paribas Open where she lost in the second round to Flavia pennetta she then participated in the Miami Masters and lost to mithilde johansson in the first round. Mirza and her doubles partner Chuang Chia-jung made the semifinals of the doubles event Mirza lost in the first round of the MPS Group Championships but won the doubles title with chuang. she also lost in the round at 2009 French Open, Galina Voskoboeva. On grass, Mirza participated at the 2009 Aegon Clissic and reached the semifinals, losing to No. 28 second round of the doubles (with chuang) and mixed doubles (with Mahesh Bhuoathi)

Next Mirza went to Lexington to complete in fifth Third Bank Tennis Championships, where she won the title after a few good wins Sania's next two tournaments were in Canada, where she had mixed results. she managed it all the way to the final at the Odlum Brown Vancouver Open where she was beaten by Stephanie dubois But at the Rogers Cup , she fell to Heidi El Tabakh in the second qualifying round

playing in the U.S open, she defeated Olga Govortsova in the first round but was double-bagled by 10th seed Flavia pennetta she also lost in the second round of the doubles event (partnering Francesca Schiavone) to Shahar Pe'er and Gisela Dulka.Mirza then went to japan where she qualified for the Toray pan pacific Open in Tokyo but lost in the round to Zheng jie At Osaka, Mirza won against 5th seed Shahar p e'er and Viktoriya Kutuzova and in the quarter-final she defeated on to the semifinal /where she lost to Francesca Schiavone.

Mirza was seeded at the 2006 Australian open the first female indian to be seeded in a grand slam event, only falling to Michaella Krajicek Next she fell to Camille pin at the Bangalore Open but won the doubles title partnering Huber she played At the Dubai Tennis Championships but lost to Martina Hinges At the india  well masters she reached the third round but lost to Elena Dementieva. she also lost in the first round of the 2006 French Open grand Slam to Anastasia Myskina.

In 2006, Mirza nitched up three top ten wins against Svetlana Kuznetsova, Nadia petrova and Martina Hinges Mirza started 2007 stongly making it to the semifinals of Hobart, the second round of the 2007 Australia Open semifinals in pattaya, and the quarter-finals in Bangalore At the 2007 French Open, Mirza lost the battle against Ana Ivanvic in the second round she also fell in the second round at the 2007 Wimbledon Championships to Nadia petrova Mirza had the best results of her career during the 2007 summer standings and reaching her highest singles ranking of world no 27.

She reached the quarter-finals in San Diego, the semifinals at Cincinnati, and made it to the final at Stanford she also won the doubles event in Cincinnati with shahar p e'er At the 2007 US Open she reached the third time in recent weeks. she fared much better in the doubles with Bethanie Mattek, including a win over number two seeds Lisa Raymond and samantha Stosur. she won four doubles title in 2007.

Mirza began playing tennis at the age of six, turning professional in 2003. She was trained by her father. Mirza won 10 singles and 13 doubles titles as a junior player She won the 2003 Wimbledon Championships Girl's Doubles, title partnering Asia Kleybanava she also' Doubles With sanna Bhambri, and  the quarter-finals of the 2002 US Open Girl's Doubles. on the senior circuit, Mirza started to show early successes she made her debut in april 2001 on the ITF Circuit as a 15-year-old Her highlights of 2001 include a quarter-finals showing in pune and a semifinal finish in new Dehli. At her hometown event, the 2004 AP Tourism Hyderabad Open, Mirza was a Wildcard entrant. she put up a good fight against the fourth seed and eventual champion Nicole pratt in round one, but lost 6-4, 3-6, 2-6, she won her first WTA doubles title at the same event, partnetring liezel Huber she then received a Wildcard to compete at the grand Prix SAR La Princesses Lalla Meryem in Casablanca, Morocco, but suffered a first round deficit to eventual champion Emilie Loit.

On the IFT circuit, Mirza had a runner-up showing at the palm beach Gardens challenger, Where she fell to Sessil Karatantcheva. Mirza won 6 ITF singles titles in 204 Going into the 2005 Australian Open, Sania defeated Cindy Watson and petra Mangual in the first and second round, respectively, to reach the third round where she was beaten in straight sets by eventual champion Serena William. In February, Mirza become the first ever india Women to win a WTA title, by winning  her hometown event, the 2005 AP Tourism Hyderabad Open, defeating ninth seeded Alona bondarenko in the final, 6-4, 5-7, 6-3, Her  good-from continued at the 2005 Dubai Tennis Championships, where in round two she upset 4th seed and reigning US open championships, Where she lost to kuznetsova in a tight tree setter.

 In August, she reached the third round at the acura classic, falling to morigami. Mirza reached her second WTA final at the 2005 Forest Hills Tennis Classic, falling to Lucie Safarova. Mirza become the first indian Women to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam tournament at the 2005 US Open, defeating Mashona Washington, Maria Elena Camerin and Marrion Bartoli, before losing to top seed Mirza Sharapova in the Round of 16. At the Japan Open, Mirza reached the semifinals with wins over Vilmarie overpowered by Tatiana Golovin thanks to a Successful 2005 season Mirza was named the WTA Netcomer of the year.

Sania Mirza Early Life:


Sania was born in Mumbai Maharashtra, india on 15 November 1986 in a Sunni Muslim family, to a builer, Imran mirza and his wife Naseema, who Worked in a printing business. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Hyderabad whre she and younger sister anam ware raised in a religious family. she is the distant relative of former cricket captains Ghulam ahmed of india, and Asif Iqbal of Pakistan. She took up tennis at the age of six she has been coached by her father and also Roger anderson.

She attended Nasr School in Hyderabad and later graduated from St.Mary's College . Mirza received an honorary degree of Doctor of Letters from the MGR Educational and Research Institute University in Chennai on 11 December 2008. she also a very good Swimmer

Sania Mirza as born 15 November 1986 is an india professional tennis player, currently ranked World No 1 in Women's doubles. From 2003 until her retirement from singles in 2013, she was ranked by the Women's tennis Association as India's No 1 player, both in singles and doules. Throughout her career, Mirza has established herself as the most successful female India tennis player in history  and one of the highest- paid and high-profile athletes in the country.

In her singles career, Mirza has had wins over the likes of Svetlana Kuxnetsova, as well as former World No 1s Martina Azarenka. she is the highest ranked female player ever from india, pearking at World No 27 in singles in mid-2007; however, a major wrist injury forces her to give up her singles career and focus on the dobles circuit, Where she in currently ranked World No 1 she has achieved a number of firsts for her native country, including surpassing U$$1 million in career earnings (now over $5 million), Winning a pro-level title, and winning  five major titles (two in /women's doubles and tree in mixed doubles), as well as qualifying for (and eventually Winning) the WTA Finals in 2014, alongside cara Black.

In addition, she is the third indian Women in the Open Era to teature and win a round at a Grand Slam tournament (going as for as the last 16). she has also won a total of 14 medals (including 6 Gold) at tree major multi-sport events, namely the Asian Games, the Commonwealth Games and the Afro-Asian Games.

Mirza was named one of the "50 heroes of Asia" by time in October 2005. in march 2010, the list of the "33 Women who made india proud" she was appointed as the UN Women's Goodwill Ambassador to mark the Against Women on 25 th November 2013.

Gautam  Gambhir born 14 Octber 1981 is an indian international cricketer He is a left-handed opening batsman who plays domestic cricket for Dehli premier League IPL. He made his one Day international ODI debut against Bangladesh in 2003 and played his first test the following year against Australia.He captained the india team in six ODIs from late-2010 to late-2011 with india winning all six matches.He played an integral part in India's wins in the finals of both the 2007 World Twenty20 75 from 54 balls and the 2011 Cricket World Cup 97 from 122 balls.

Gambhir is the only indian and one of four international cricketers to have scored five hundreds in five conseccutive Test matches .He is the only indian batsman to have scored more than 300 runs in four consecutive test series As of February 2014, he is the highest run-scorer for india in Twenty20 international under Gambhir's captaincy, the Kolkata Knight Riders won their maiden IPL title in 2012 and again in 2014 Fellow indian team-mate Virender Sehwag called Gambhir the best indian opener since Sunil Gavaskar. 

He was conferred the arjuna award India's second highest sporting award, in the year 2008 by the president of india. in 2009, he was the number one ranked batsman in ICC Test rankings. The same year he was the recipient of the ICC Test player of the year award.

Virender sehwag as born 20 October 1978 is an Indian cricketer an aggressive right-handed opening batsman and a part time right-arm off-spin bowler he played his first one day international in 1999 and joined the Indian Test team in 2001. in April 2009 and joined the Indian Test team in 2001 .In April 2009 , Sehwag became the only Indian to be honoured as the Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World for his performance in 2008, subsequently becoming the first player of any nationality to retain the award for 2009.

Sehwag holds multiple records including the highest score made by an Indian in test cricket 319 against south Africa at M.A . chidambaram stadium in Chennai which was also the fastest triple century in the history of international cricket reached 300 off only 278 balls as well as the fastest 250 by any batsman in 207 balls against Sri Lanka on 3 December 2009 at the brabourne stadium in Mumbai his other innings of  309 and 293 are also the second and third best by any Indian player Sehwag also holds the distinction of being one of four batsman in the world to have ever surpassed 300 twice in Test cricket and only one to score two triple centuries and take a five-wicket innings haul. in march 2009, Sehwag Smashed what was till then the fastest century ever scored by an Indian in ODI cricket, from 60 balls. on 8 December 2011 he hit his maidel double century in ODI cricket against West Indies becoming the second batsman after Sachin tendulkar to reach the landmark. his score become the highest individual score in ODI cricket _219 off 149 balls which was later bettered  by Rohit Sharma_ 264 off 173 balls on 13 November 2014. He is one of  only players in the World to score a double hundred in ODI and a triple hundred in Test cricket, the other being Chris Gayle.

Sehwag was appointed as vice- captain of the Indian team under Rahul Dravid in October 2005 but due to poor form he was later replaced by V.V.S. Laxman in December 2006 as test vice-captain in january 2007, Sehwag was dropped from the ODI team and later from the Test term as well. During his term as vice-captain, Sehwag skippered the term in place of injured dravid in 2 ODIs and 1 test. Following his return to form in 2008 and been reappointed of anil Kumble, Sehwag has been reappointed as the vice-captain for both Tests and ODIs. by early 2009, Sehwag had reestablished himself as one of the best performing batsman in ODI cricket.

Ajinkya Rahane:



Ajinkya Rahane as born 6 June 1988 is an Indian international cricketer resenting Mumbai in domestic cricket. He is a right-handed batsman who made his international debut in a Twenty20 international against England at Manchester in August 2011 and made his Test debut against Australia in march 2013.

Rahane made his first-class debut in 2007-08 season and averaged an impressive 62.04 after in his first five seasons with batsman Shikhar Dhawan injuring his fingers Rahane made his Test debut in the 2013 Border-Gavaskar trophy Rahane's first Test century came at basin Reserve Wellington against New Zealand.
